‘Eid-ul-Adha 1436H on Thursday, 24 September 2015

On behalf of the Imams Council of ACT, Imam Adama Konda announced that since the Day of Arafah will fall on Wedneday, 23 September 2015, ‘Eid-ul-Adha will InshaaAllaah be on Thursday, 24 September 2015.

Salat-ul-‘Eid at the Canberra Mosque (130 Empire Cct Yarralumla) will be at 7:30am for an 8:00am start.

Please be mindful that the masjid has limited parking options and indoor capacity. Furthermore, strictly do not park on the neighbours’ lawns or block their driveways please and encroach upon their rights on you. We thank you for your past and ongoing cooperation in this matter.

Alternatively, you may attend Salat-ul-‘Eid at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) Arena (Bruce) which is a large venue with ample parking options available.

Eid-ul-Fitr 1436 AH – Friday, 17 July 2015

The Imams Council of ACT (Imam Mohammed Swaiti, Imam Nourredine Laraibi via phone and Imam Adama Konda) have met after Maghrib today at the Canberra Mosque and have declared that Eid-ul-Fitr 1436 AH will be Friday, 17 July 2015, Inshallah. Salat-ul-Eid at Canberra Mosque will be at 7:30am for an 8:00am start. Eid Mubarak.

Eid-ul-Adha Salaat at the Canberra Mosque will be held on Saturday, 4 October 2014.  Salaat time is 7:30am for an 8:00am start.

One day short course – Key to Paradise

Synopsis: In this course, Shaykh Abu Adnan will primarily discuss, amongst other aspects, the conditions of the testimony of faith in detail while focusing on the current state of affairs.

Eid-ul-Adha 1434H on Tuesday, 15 October 2013

On behalf of the Imams Council of ACT, Imam Adama Konda has announced that since the Day of Arafah will fall on Monday 14 October 2013, Eid-ul-Adha will Inshallah be on Tuesday 15 October 2013.

This year the Eid-ul-Adha celebration will be held at the Masjid on Sunday 20 October 2013, from 10:30am to 3:30pm.  Everybody is welcome.

Ahkam Altajweed (Rules of Tajweed) – Restarting on Wednesday, 28 August 2013

Assalamu Alaikum  Brs/Srs,

After the break for Ramadan and Eid the Ahkam Altajweed Course will recommence next week on Wednesday, 28 August 2013.  As usual it will start straight after Isha at 7:00pm and the course materials will be posted on the ISACT website within the next few days.

Eid-ul-Fitr 1434H on Thursday 8 August 2013

The Imams Council of ACT (Imam Mohammed Swaiti, Imam Nourredine Laraibi and Imam Adama Konda) have met after Maghrib today at the Canberra Masjid and have decided that Eid-ul-Fitr will be on Thursday 8 August 2013.

Eid-ul-Fitr Salat
The Eid-ul-Fitr Salat will Inshallah be held at the outdoor synthetic field at the Australian Institute of Sport.  It will be either on Thursday 8 August 2013 or Friday 9 August 2013, depending on the moon sighting. The Eid day will be determined by the Imams Council of the ACT, on Wednesday night 7 August 2013, after Maghrib. If you are not able to be present at the Masjid that night make sure you are registered to SMS Notification Service so that you can be immediately notified: SMS Notification Service

Eid-ul-Fitr Celebration
This year the Eid-ul-Fitr celebration will be held at the Masjid on Sunday 11 August 2013, from 10:30am to 3:30pm.  Everybody is welcome.
