Eid-ul-Fitr Salaat 2014

This year there will be an option to offer Eid-ul-Fitr Salaat the Canberra Mosque.  Eid-ul-Fitr Salaat will be either on Monday, 28 July 2014, or Tuesday 29 July 2014, date to be confirmed on Sunday, 27 July 2014 after Maghrib.  Salaat time is 7:30am for an 8:00am start.

Eid-ul-Fitr Celebrations 2014

Celebrations for the Eid-ul-Fitr will be held at the Canberra Mosque on Sunday, 3 August 2014 from 10:30am to 3:30pm

The Imams Council of ACT (Imam Mohammed Swaiti, Imam Nourredine Laraibi and Imam Adama Konda) have met after Maghrib today at the Canberra Masjid and have declared that fasting for Ramadan 1435 AH will start on Sunday, 29 June 2014.  Therefore Tarweeh prayers will start tomrrow night straight after Isha at 7:00pm.

On the weekend of 20th and 21st of June we will Inshallah have a guest speaker Br Muhummad Al-Bizry who will be delivering a lecture and workshop.

2011 Muhummad Al-Bizry was selected to travel to Egypt as part of the Build the Believers program to further his studies of the Arabic language and its sciences including Morphology, Grammar, Elloquence and Calligraphy.  His studies also encompassed other Islamic Sciences including Aqeedah, Fiqh, Hadeeth , Quraan along with Tasfeer and Tajweed.

Br Muhummad Al-Bizry is a very active and experienced Daee in Sydney.  In addition to being a qualified teacher at a private Islamic College in Sydney, he is also a regular khateeb at various Islamic Centres and colleges in Sydney.

Yusha Evans Lecture Cancelled
