Taraweeh & Tahajjud prayers – Ramadan 1440AH

Taraweeh prayers will be held following ‘Isha’ prayers at 7.15pm every night during Ramadhan inShaa’Allaah.

Qari Omar Mohammad Seraj Ahmad HabeebAllah from Saudi Arabia will be leading Taraweeh every night throughout Ramadan. Wednesday night he will Inshallah start from Surah 30, Ar-Rum, Ayah 33.

The masjid is open for I’tikaaf for the last ten days of Ramadan. Tahajjud Prayers will also being held at the Masjid at 4.00am in the last third of Ramadan.

The Society will gladly accept any donations towards iftaar and water bottles. Please contact on 0417272041, or any of the Society Executive Committee members.

‘Eid-ul-Fitr 1440AH salaah arrangements 4 or 5 June

The’ Eid day will be either Tue (4 June) or Wed (5 June), subject to the announcement by the Imams Council of ACT.  Irrespective of the day, the ‘Eid Salaah at Masjid Canberra will inShaa’Allaah start at 8:00am SHARP.  If you wish to attend the ‘Eid Salaah here at Masjid Canberra, plan to be here at 7:30am to ensure you do not miss the start of the Salaah.

In the wake of the massacre in Christchurch, New Zealand, the Society has decided to publish the Khutbah (sermon) delivered at the Canberra Mosque by Imam Mohammed Swaiti on 22 March 2019.

New Qur’aan class every Wednesday

Sh Abu Mous’ab will be conducting interactive Qur’aan class every Wednesday.  The classes will focus on reading, memorising and understanding the ayaat of the Qur’aan.
The classes are suitable for brothers and sisters inShaa’Allaah with the utilisation of the multimedia facilities at the masjid.

No registrations are necessary.

Brief matters from Kitaab-at-Tawheed by Imaam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhabb after fajr every morning.

Ahadeeth from al-Adab al-Mufrad (Perfection of Character) by Imaam al-Bukhaaree and the explanations after ‘ishaa’ every night.
