Sh Abu Mous’ab will be conducting interactive Qur’aan class every Wednesday. The classes will focus on reading, memorising and understanding the ayaat of the Qur’aan.
The classes are suitable for brothers and sisters inShaa’Allaah with the utilisation of the multimedia facilities at the masjid.
No registrations are necessary.

On behalf of the Imams Council of ACT, Imam Adama Konda has announced that since the Day of Arafah will fall on Thursday, 31 August 2017, Eid-ul-Adha will Inshallah be on FRIDAY, 1 September 2017.
Salat-ul-Eid at the Canberra Mosque will be at 7:30am for an 8:00am start. Eid Mubarak.
Canberra Mosque announces that Eid-ul-Fitr 1438 AH will be Sunday, 25 June 2017, Inshallah. Salat-ul-Eid at Masjid Canberra will be at 7:30am for an 8:00am start. Eid Mubarak.

The Eid day will be either Sunday (25 June 2017) or Monday (26 June 2017), subject to the announcement by the Imams Council of ACT. Irrespective of the day, the Eid Salat at the Canberra Mosque will Inshallah start at 8:00am SHARP. If you wish to attend the Eid Salat here at the Canberra Mosque plan to be here at 7:30am, to ensure you do not miss the start of the Salat.
The Islamic Society of Belconnen (Spence Mussallah) are organising their outdoor Eid at Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC), located in Mitchell. Their Salat is planned for 8:30am. Further details can be found on their website: http://isb.org.au.
Taraweeh prayers are be held following ‘Isha’ prayers at 7.00pm every night during Ramadhan inShaa’Allaah.
Qari Omar Mohammad Seraj Ahmad HabeebAllah from Saudi Arabia will be leading Taraweeh every night throughout Ramadhan.
If you’d like to invite the Qari for iftaar or dinner, please see one of the ISACT members. If you’d like to donate towards a gift for the visiting Qari, ISACT is happy to accept your generous donations.
Tahajjud Prayers are also being held at the Masjid at 3.30am in the last third of Ramadhan.
The Imams Council of ACT (Imam Mohammed Swaiti, Imam Nourredine Laraibi (via phone) and Imam Adama Konda) have met after Maghrib today at the Canberra Masjid and have declared that fasting for Ramadan 1438 AH will start on Saturday, 27 May 2017, Inshallah. Therefore, Taraweeh prayers will start FRIDAY straight after ‘Isha’ at 7:00pm.
Brief ahadeeth sessions are being held daily after fajr and ‘ishaa’ jama’ah at the masjid.

The Islamic Society of ACT (ISACT) recommends you attend the ‘Eid Musallah at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS Arena, Leverrier St, Bruce) with salaah starting at 8.00am sharp, organised by the Islamic Society of Belconnen (ISB). The INDOOR AIS Arena arrangements offer ample praying space and parking options with easy access.
Alternatively, you may offer your salaah at the Canberra Masjid (130 Empire Cct, Yarralumla), also starting at 8am sharp. Due to logistical reasons, arrangements at the masjid are limited.
